Our next session of swim lessons will begin August 19, 2024 and end September 12, 2024. This will be a FULL session of swim lessons at the Muncie Central High School Pool. Registration opens August 7 at 8:00am and ends August 18 at 11:30 pm.
- Parent/Child and Pre-school lessons meet from 6:05-6:35 pm.
- Youth lessons meet from 6:45-7:15 pm.
Current Swimming Lesson dates:

- Registration opens July 3 at 8:00am and ends July 25 at 11:30 pm.
- NOTICE: Swim Lessons will take place at the Tuhey Pool!
- Prices are adjusted for the mini session: $25/members & $37.50/non-members
- Parent/Child and Pre-school lessons meet from 10:15 am-10:45 am.
- Youth lessons meet from 11:00 am-11:30 am
YMCA Swim Lesson Levels
All age groups are taught the same skills but divided according to their developmental milestones. Here’s our recommendations of courses for each age range.
6 months–3 years > PARENT* & CHILD: STAGES A–B
3 years–5 years > PRESCHOOL: STAGES 1–4
5 years–12 years > SCHOOL AGE: STAGES 1–6
12+ years > TEEN & ADULT: STAGES 1–6

Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons will be scheduled with available instructors. Please call Chuck Gallatin at 765-741-5541 to discuss times and instructor availability.
* You MUST contact Chuck Gallatin contact Chuck Gallatin before registering for the lessons. Chuck will arrange a swim instructor. You can then set up days and times that are convenient for you both.
